2014 Thunder Over Louisville

As many as 450 boats will anchor along the riverfront to watch this year’s show. Make sure you know the conditions and rules before you head out to join them.

High water and strong currents can make boating more difficult than usual at this time of year, producing debris and drift. Make sure you stay focused when moving and obey all navigation rules such as no-wake zones. Watch out for those who may not be paying attention.

When docking use appropriate anchors and secure them fast with the RS Marine Quik Fender. Our Boat Loop is ideal for pushing off, retrieving overboard items and steering clear of others in close quarters.

Above all, be safe and patient. Boaters who may be out all day may become inattentive. You can help make Thunder Over Louisville a success by staying aware of river conditions and being a courteous boater.
