FAQs
1. Does the Boat Loop® float?
Yes, it will float if we give it a little more displacement volume and extend it 12 inches or more
2. How many sizes are available?
We have three sizes available. The compact length, the medium length and the long length.
3. How long do the different sizes extend to?
From the end of the pole to the end of the loop,
The compact size extends approximately from 46” to 64”
The medium size extends approximately from 58” to 88”
The long size extends approximately from 70” to 112”
4. How many colors are available for the Boat Loop®?
The fiberglass poles come in white and yellow and the carbon graphite pole is a gray to black woven carbon fiber in an epoxy resin.
5. How do you lock the pole when extended to the desired length?
There are two methods to lock the pole extension.
There is a large rotating nut on the larger of the two poles that is used as a compression device that, if twisted, will tighten and hold the inner pole from slipping. However, the preferred method to lock the extended pole is the quick lock method. When holding the outer pole stationary and twisting the inner pole in the counterclockwise direction, (Twist Hard) there is a detent felt that locks the extended length.
6. How can this device help make my docking easy?
When approaching the dock, the wind or water current can push against your boat and keep you from approaching close enough to place a line on a cleat of piling. The Boat Loop® extends your reach to attach to a cleat or piling from a distance. When boating alone, this is the preferred tool for the captain to use particularly on inclement days.
7. How can this device help make my docking easy?
Yes, if you go to our website at www.rsmarine.com you can purchase there.
8. I live in Alaska. Do you ship here?
Yes, we ship to all US states, including Alaska and Hawaii as well as Canada. My apologies for the long-distance shipping cost. It can get a little heavy on further zones from KY, but that is something I can not control. I use UPS on the majority of shipments and sometimes USPS.
